PROJECT FORMULATION MISSION: JORDAN – SUPPORT FOR MODERNISATION OF THE SERVICES SECTOR

To enable Jordan to benefit fully from the opportunities created through liberalization of trade in services in the context of WTO GATS and the economic integration objectives of the Istanbul Framework Protocol of July 2004. The specific objective is to assist in the formulation of a support project aiming to create and reinforce initiatives designed to promote widely-distributed services employment and income generation opportunities within the Jordanian economy. Assist in the development of SMEs working in service industries, including through the development of banking and other financial services relevant to their needs.
